Mexico overtime: $15,000 + 9 h → $1,125
Overtime is time beyond your ordinary shift. Under the May 1, 2026 DOF reform (code 5786537):
- The first 9 weekly overtime hours pay at double time (art. 66 + fourth transitional).
- Up to 4 more hours pay at triple (art. 68).
- Legal weekly cap: 13 overtime hours. Beyond that this tool does not invent a rate.

- Daily wage = 15,000 ÷ 30 = $500
- Ordinary hour = 500 ÷ 8 = $62.50

- Daily wage = monthly salary ÷ 30 (art. 89).
- Ordinary hour = daily wage ÷ shift hours (art. 61).
- Pay = min(extras, 9) × hour × 2 + min(max(extras − 9, 0), 4) × hour × 3.

At 14+ hours, anything past 13 is not priced here: the UI warns because it exceeds the legal pool.
$1,125 for the week: $62.50 × 9 × 2. With 13 hours the total is $1,875.
Double time (100% more), LFT article 66. Time-and-a-half is other jurisdictions; it is not Mexico overtime.
The LFT does not allow exceeding that cap except in exceptional cases. This calculator does not invent rates: it warns and excludes those hours.
Art. 61: 8 / 7 / 7.5 hours. You pick the type; the tool does not classify schedules automatically.
