Step-by-step example
Q150,000 car, 1,200 km per month, 35 km per gallon at Q32 per gallon, Q450 insurance, Q600 maintenance, Q1,200 yearly tax and 15% depreciation:
- Fuel: (1,200 ÷ 35) × 32 = Q1,097.14
- Depreciation: 150,000 × 15% ÷ 12 = Q1,875.00
- Monthly cost: Q4,122.14 · Q49,465.68 per year · Q3.44 per kilometer
- In 5 years you will pay Q247,328.40: 1.65 times the car price.
