What is piecework at EMPORNAC?

Piecework (destajo) means you are paid for the movements or quintals you move, not just for clock hours: on the dock, your shift is measured by how many quintals you handled, and those quintals become the regular, overtime, and double hours of the pay period. The official statement shows quintals by type; your pay depends on the hourly rate each worker receives.

Quick answer

The analyzer lets you upload EMPORNAC pay-period PDFs or enter your hours manually, set the movements-per-hour divisor (6, 7, 8, 10…, no limit), enter the rates you are actually paid, and see the estimated total with seventh-day pay and bonus instantly. Everything runs in your browser or phone: nothing is uploaded.

How the piecework calculator works

You can use it two ways:

  1. Fill from PDF: select one or more pay-period PDFs, enter your worker ID (e.g. 000-A), and press Fill hours from PDF. The analyzer extracts your records so you can review them.
  2. Enter my hours: type your regular, overtime, and double hours directly, plus the number of movements per hour that apply to your agreement.

In both cases you review rates and bonus and the total updates live.

Free movements-per-hour divisor

The divisor is not locked to 8. If you are paid 6, 7, or 10 movements per hour, type it: piecework hours recalculate immediately.

Estimated-pay formula

EMPORNAC piecework calculation

Hours per type = Quintals per type ÷ Movements per hour (divisor)

Pay per type = Hours per type × Hourly rate

Seventh-day pay = Hours subtotal ÷ 6

Estimated total = Subtotal + Seventh-day + Bonus

Worked example

Imagine your pay period has these records and you are paid the analyzer’s estimated rates (regular Q12.55, overtime Q14.04, double Q21.04), plus a Q325 bonus:

ConceptHoursRateAmount
Regular80.000Q12.55Q1,004.00
Overtime10.000Q14.04Q140.40
Double0Q21.04Q0.00
Hours subtotal90.000: Q1,144.40
Seventh-day (subtotal ÷ 6): : Q190.73
Pay-period bonus: : Q325.00
Estimated gross total: : Q1,660.13

With overtime and double hours the result changes: for example 64 regular, 16 overtime, and 8 double hours give an estimated gross of Q1,720.52 with the same bonus. Enter your real rates and the number adjusts instantly.

Converting quintals to hours

The quintals of each record are divided by the divisor you entered. With 640 regular quintals:

  • Divisor 8 → 80 regular hours.
  • Divisor 6 → 106.67 regular hours.

That is why knowing your movements-per-hour rate matters before comparing hours between pay periods.

What is seventh-day pay

Seventh-day pay is an additional pay-period amount estimated as hours subtotal ÷ 6 (a seventh part on top of the six working days). The analyzer adds it automatically to the subtotal. If seventh-day pay does not apply to your case, compare against your official statement and adjust.

Estimator, not your official statement

Default rates are reference values. The result is for checking your pay period with clear numbers, but the official EMPORNAC statement and HR validation are what count. If a row stays “Revisar”, check it in the PDF: extraction depends on the document’s column layout.

Privacy

Your PDFs and numbers are never uploaded to any server. Analysis runs in your browser or phone. Rates per worker ID are stored only on this device (localStorage), with no account and no cloud sync.

FAQ

No. The analyzer processes PDFs only in your browser or phone. Nothing is sent to Calcufast or any other server, so it works offline after the page loads.

Each record’s quintals are divided by the “movements per hour” factor. You can use any positive number (6, 7, 8, 10…), not only 8. This gives regular, overtime, and double hours.

No. Rates and bonuses are editable estimates. Use the result to review your pay period and verify it against your official statement or EMPORNAC payroll.

Yes, only locally on this device (browser localStorage). There is no account and no cloud sync, and you can clear them anytime.

Yes. The extracted hours stay in the “Your hours” table and you can edit them before viewing the total. You can also change the divisor and rates at any time.

It means the analyzer could not find a clear quintal column for that record, so it does not invent a number. Check it directly in the PDF: extraction depends on the document’s column layout.

Final note

Use the analyzer to review your pay period with your own numbers: hours, divisor, rates, and bonus. If something does not add up, adjust the values and compare with your official statement. It is an educational tool, not a payroll document.
