How much extra do you get for working a holiday?

Legislative Decree 713 (mandatory weekly rest, holidays and vacation) and SUNAT treat work on a rest day or non-working holiday without substitute rest as a surcharge.

Educational formula:

• Daily wage = monthly salary / 30.
• Without substitute rest: extra = 2 daily wages (the worked day + 100% surcharge).
• With substitute rest: extra = 1 daily wage (100% surcharge only).

The rest-day wage is already in monthly pay. This calculator shows only the extra.

CTR example

With S/ 2,500 and 1 holiday without a substitute:

• Daily wage = 2,500 / 30 = S/ 83.33
• Extra = 2 × 83.33 = S/ 166.67

If you got another day off, extra drops to S/ 83.33.
