Colombia Net Salary Calculator 2026
A COP $10,000,000 salary is not deposited in full. Colombia payroll deducts worker health and pension contributions, the Pension Solidarity Fund when applicable, and income tax withholding. The transport allowance is added only for salaries up to 2 minimum wages.
- Health (4%): $400,000
- Pension (4%): $400,000
- Solidarity Fund (1%): $100,000
- Payroll withholding: $351,398
- Estimated take-home pay: $8,748,602
Formula
Net = gross salary + transport allowance − health − pension − FSP − withholding − other deductions
Taxable base = gross salary − mandatory contributions − 25% exempt income

Article 383 payroll withholding table
| Monthly taxable base | Marginal rate | Tax in UVT | |---|---:|---| | Up to 95 UVT | 0% | 0 | | >95 to 150 UVT | 19% | (Base − 95) × 19% | | >150 to 360 UVT | 28% | (Base − 150) × 28% + 10 | | >360 to 640 UVT | 33% | (Base − 360) × 33% + 69 | | >640 to 945 UVT | 35% | (Base − 640) × 35% + 162 | | >945 to 2,300 UVT | 37% | (Base − 945) × 37% + 268 | | Over 2,300 UVT | 39% | (Base − 2,300) × 39% + 770 |
In 2026, 95 UVT equals a COP $4,975,530 taxable base. After contributions and the 25% exemption, withholding generally starts near a COP $7.3M gross monthly salary when no other deductions apply.
Procedure 2 assumption
Tax Code article 386 sets a fixed semiannual rate. In June and December, payroll averages the taxable earnings of the prior 12 months, applies the article 383 table, and divides tax by that taxable income. The percentage applies during the following semester.
Because this calculator receives one salary, it assumes salary and conditions were constant during the 12-month reference period. Under that assumption, applying the monthly table reproduces the procedure 2 estimate. Variable compensation or deductions can make the actual payroll rate different.
25% exempt income and Solidarity Fund
Tax Code article 206(10) exempts 25% after mandatory contributions, capped at 240 UVT per month — COP $12,569,760 in 2026. Optional deductions for dependents, mortgage interest, prepaid medicine, or AFC/FVP contributions are excluded.
The calculator uses the Law 797/2003 FSP table. It does not apply Law 2381/2024 FSP rates.
| Salary in minimum wages | Worker FSP rate | |---|---:| | Below 4 | 0% | | From 4 and below 16 | 1% | | From 16 and below 17 | 1.2% | | From 17 and below 18 | 1.4% | | From 18 and below 19 | 1.6% | | From 19 and below 20 | 1.8% | | From 20 | 2% |
